Duke Ranches Ltd.
Edmonton, AB, CAN
I was introduced at an early age to horses through my family and enjoyed taking lessons as a child. Into my teens I begin to work at a local barn caring for the horses and cleaning their stalls. My love of horses caused me to lease a few horses in my early 20's helping me experience the joys of horse ownership and continuing to broaden my knowledge of horses. In 2001 I begin jumping here at Duke Ranches under the instruction of Cheryl Kazemir aboard Mick for my very first lesson. Into 2002 I begin to work under Cheryl as a lesson worker preparing the horses for the students
Jody's lessons are on Tuesday evenings, Thursday Evenings and Saturday mornings and she teaches Beginner/Intermediate Jumping and English/Western Flat

classes. Catching, grooming and tacking the horses for the nights were my main responsibilities as well as maintaining the safety of students preparing for there lessons. In November 2007 I was offered the position of Instructor here at Duke Ranches by Fred Duke. Since then I have purchased my own horse Bell on Oct 2008 and continue to enjoy teaching my students how to ride. I am married with two lovely daughters, one of whom is riding in my classes with me currently. Horse's have always been a passion of mine and I throughly enjoy teaching others about riding. I especially find it rewarding to teach children about horses and enjoy watching them grow in my classes.
